THE COTERY

GADD STREET, NORTHCOTE

A modern project preserving history

COMPLETION EXPECTED AUGUST 2014

This $130 million modern apartment project in Northcote, has preseved some of its site’s manufacturing history by incorporating parts of a century-old heritage-listed factory that used to employ 200 people and export leather belts to England, China and Java and will now be transformed into a development of 181 townhouses and apartments designed by Rothe Lowman, including loft units that preserve the historic facade and reuse original timbers.

Glenvill, the builder, is a well respected property company that has been successfully designing and delivering dream homes on behalf of our clients for over 50 years. Our building arm, Glenvill Projects, is one of Australia’s most awarded builders. Specialising in the construction of high value homes and project homes, each year we build in excess of 200 homes. Testament to this success is recognition at the recent Master Builder Awards for the Best Custom Home ($800,000 – $1million). Glenvill Developments has negotiated a bulk contract price with Glenvill Projects to build every townhouse at The Cotery. This ensures you benefit from a price that’s much cheaper than if you had asked a builder to construct your townhouse individually (typically in the order of $10,000 to $30,000).

The Cotery will showcase a range of Green initiatives. Solar gas boosted hot water services, rain water tanks, common rain gardens for storm water filtration, AAA rated fixtures, bike hooks for each townhouse and visitor bike racks.

Glenvill intends to build the development in multiple stages commencing with townhouses on the North East corner together with most of the townhouses on the South side of Gadd Street initially.

The Heritage Precinct will follow which encompasses townhouses on the North side of Gadd Street together with the Heritage Lofts and the Tannery Apartment building on the Northern side. The remaining townhouses and The Sherrin Apartment building on the North Side of Gadd Street will be the final stage to be built.
